Research Data Security for Customer Interviews

Research data security at Moderators starts with one rule: your data stays yours. The interviews, transcripts and findings from your studies belong to you, and they are not used to train models. Enterprise adds SSO, roles and data retention controls for organizations that need them.

What decided it for you in the end?

The other vendor could start the same week.

Who needed it that week?

Finance did, because our launch date moved up.

Quote from the interview

“Setup took two days and nobody had time.”

Your data stays yours

Everything your participants say in a study, along with the guide you write and the findings you read, belongs to your account. We use it to run your studies and show you the results. We do not use it to train models.

What participants share

Participants open your link and answer the moderator's questions. They do not need to install anything or create an account. You decide whom to invite, so the conversations stay with the people you chose.

Seats and roles

Each plan includes a set number of seats: 1 on Starter, 5 on Team and 15 on Scale. Enterprise adds roles, so you can decide what each person on your team can do.

SSO on Enterprise

Enterprise includes SSO, so your team signs in through your own identity setup instead of a separate password.

Data retention controls

Enterprise includes data retention controls, which let your organization set how long research data is kept. This helps when your own policies say how long interviews may be stored. The features page lists how this fits with the rest of the plan.

Keeping your work when you leave

Export your guide, transcripts and findings before the end of the period you have paid for. Scale and Enterprise also keep past studies in a findings repository while your plan is active.

The scope of these statements

This page describes how data is handled in the product: ownership, access and retention. It does not list audits or certifications, and it makes no claim about them. For questions about your own setup, write to [email protected]. More answers are in the ai moderator faq.

Buying for a larger team

Enterprise is self-serve with a visible price of $1,499 a month, or $749.50 a month billed annually, and it includes SSO, roles, an SLA, invoices and data retention controls. See the ai moderator pricing page for the full list.
